Privacy policy

What Konark Veda keeps about you, why it keeps it, who else handles it, and how to see, correct or delete it.

  1. 1. Who is responsible

    Vipin Joshi, Pal Road, Jodhpur, Rajasthan 342012, India, decides how your data is used. Write to support@konarkveda.com about anything on this page.

  2. 2. What we keep

    • Your account: name, email or phone, password (stored only as a one-way hash), class, and what you choose to add (school, age, target exam).
    • Your work: papers, your answers, pen writing, photos and PDFs of your answer sheets, marks and reports, and the notes you open.
    • Coins and payments: your coin balance and history, and for each payment the order number, amount, currency and status. Card, UPI and bank details go to Razorpay or PayPal and never reach us.
    • Institutes: which institutes you belong to, your batch, and class tests set for you.
    • To give one welcome gift per person: a scrambled code made from your device and network, which cannot be turned back into your device ID or IP address.
    • Sign-in: a cookie that keeps you logged in. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

  3. 3. Why we use it

    • To run your account, make and mark your papers, write your reports and choose your next paper.
    • To take payments, add coins, prevent fraud and keep the records the law requires.
    • To send emails you need (a sign-in code, a password reset) and notices about the app.
    • To improve the handwriting reader: an answer image and the text you confirmed for it may be kept, without your name.

  4. 4. Who else handles it

    We never sell your data or show you advertising. These services handle it for us, only to run the app:

    • Amazon Web Services (the app's server, in Mumbai, India) and Cloudflare (secure connection to it).
    • Razorpay and PayPal (payments).
    • Google (sending email).
    • Vercel and Neon (this website; they hold no student accounts).

    Handwriting is read on computers we run ourselves. An institute you join sees your tests from the day it added you. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.

  5. 5. Keeping it safe

    Connections are encrypted (https). Passwords are hashed; payment and email keys are encrypted. The server accepts no outside connections except through Cloudflare. Backups are encrypted and kept for about two weeks, plus older copies on our own computers.

  6. 6. How long we keep it

    While your account is open. After you delete it, your personal data is removed within 30 days and drops out of backups as they are replaced. Payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.

  7. 7. Students under 18

    The app is made for school students. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree before you use it. We do not use children's data for advertising or tracking. A parent or guardian can ask us to see, correct or delete their child's data at any time.

  8. 8. Your rights, and deleting your account

    You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and its data. Email support@konarkveda.com from your account's email (or tell us your account's phone number). We reply within 7 days and finish within 30 days.

    Deleting an account removes your name, contact details, answers, photos, pen writing and reports, and ends any coins left in it. See also our terms of use.

  9. 9. Grievance officer

    Vipin Joshi, support@konarkveda.com. We acknowledge a complaint within 2 working days and resolve it within 30 days.

    We will update this page when our practice changes and announce important changes in the app.
